The Career Management Group was formed three years ago to provide beneficial programs to Human Resource professionals in transition or searching for guidance in their career development.  These meetings are FREE for HRAGD members.  Non-members can attend one meeting in a 12 month period.

Q. What is the meeting format?
A. Typically, each meeting includes introductions, a speaker or panel and a Q & A session. The format varies, so see the meeting announcement to learn about each program. Past topics have included:

• Practicing your answer to "Tell me about yourself"
• Job search techniques
• A recruiter talks about how to work with a recruiter
• Panel discussion on "How to Manage Your HR Career"

Q. How do I register for a CMG Meeting?
A. Send an email to hragd@ameritech.net with the words CMG Registration in the Subject line.  If you would like to join HRAGD, click on "Join HRAGD" under the "Log In" area.

Q. Is there a charge for attending the meetings?
A. The meetings are free to members and non-members. (Non-members can attend one meeting in a 12 month period.)

Q. Can I bring a guest?
A. Guests are welcome. Please ask your guest to register online at www.hragd.org.

Q. What should I wear?
A. I suggest you dress as though you are going on an interview or as though you will be meeting someone on whom you would like to make a good impression. As you know, "you never get a second chance to make a first impression."

Q. Should I bring my resume?
A. Yes, by all means have some copies available in case you want to provide one to someone. Most people will want you follow up with an electronic copy, however. Another suggestion is to bring business cards. (You may wish to have some made if you are in transition).
