Affiliations - We are affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and its Michigan Council. With a membership of over 200,000, SHRM is the largest human resources management association. History - Our association was established as the Detroit Employment Managers Club in 1916, changed its name to the Detroit Personnel Management Association in 1955, and became the Human Resources Association of Greater Detroit in 1983. Vision - HRAGD's vision is to be recognized as one of the premier associations of HR professionals. Mission - Our mission is to advance the human resources profession in southeastern Michigan and to foster the development of HR professionals. Membership Dues - Dues for new and lapsed HRAGD members who are Members of SHRM (with a valid SHRM member number) is $100.00 for the first year.Dues for new and lapsed HRAGD members who are not members of SHRM is $110.00 for the first year. HRAGD members who renew by their expiration date renew at $85.00 each year.
